Mission Board
The Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB) under NPI is a grantee in Zambia and a subgrantee to Mothers2Mothers in Kenya. CMMB provides primary health care programs, medicines and supplies, volunteers, and training to people in need worldwide, without regard to religion or ethnicity. CMMB’s goal is to build the capacity of local communities and institutions to provide long-term, sustainable health care. In Zambia, CMMB’s efforts urge men to take a more active role in HIV prevention. In Kenya, CMMB supports mentors, women living with HIV/AIDS, who counsel HIV positive expectant mothers and work to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
