Foundation for Hospices in Sub-Saharan Africa (FHSSA) expands hospice and palliative care services. The organization manages an extensive partnership program among American and African hospices and palliative care programs, linking resources among more than 100 individual programs. In Tanzania, FHSSA works through a well established local partner, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, to provide palliative care services at 13 Lutheran hospitals and their surrounding communities in Tanzania.
